New Year’s in İzmir

Arrive at Izmir Airport and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and relax after your journey. You have the evening free to explore the local area or dine at a nearby restaurant. Accommodation will be at the Kuşadası 4* Faustina Hotel or a similar establishment.

Start your day with a visit to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. Walk through its marble streets and see the Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre, and the Temple of Hadrian. Ephesus was a major city in ancient Rome and an important center of early Christianity. Visit the House of Virgin Mary, believed to be the last residence of Mary, the mother of Jesus. This peaceful sanctuary, located on the slopes of Bulbul Mountain, is a place of pilgrimage for both Christians and Muslims. Explore the site of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although only a few columns remain, the site is rich in history and provides insight into the grandeur of the ancient temple. Later, we will visit a carpet viewing center where you can see and buy quality Turkish handmade carpets.

Spend the day in the charming village of Şirince. Known for its traditional houses, olive oil, and fruit wines, Şirince offers a glimpse into rural Turkish life. Wander through its narrow streets, visit local shops, and sample some of the village’s famous wines. In the evening, enjoy a festive New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner. Celebrate with a delicious meal, live music, and entertainment. Ring in the New Year with a memorable night of festivities. Later, we will visit a jewelry center where you can buy quality gold and diamond products.

Spend your first day of the year as you wish. You can relax at your hotel, explore more of Izmir, or revisit any sites you found particularly interesting. Consider visiting a local market, relaxing at a café, or taking a stroll along the waterfront.

Discover the highlights of Izmir, a city with a rich history and vibrant culture. Visit the historic Kemeralti Bazaar, the clock tower at Konak Square, and the Agora of Smyrna, an ancient Roman marketplace. Later, we will visit a leather center where you can enjoy a fashion show and buy quality leather products.
