Upon your arrival in Istanbul, you will meet our guide at 16:00 at either SAW or IST airport and proceed to our hotel. After check-in, you will have free time. Overnight at the Istanbul Clarion 5* hotel or a similar accommodation.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will check out and drive towards Çanakkale, historically known as Gallipoli. After passing through Çanakkale, we will arrive at Troy, a city that played an important role in the Trojan War. Our guide will provide interesting information and share stories about this significant site. Later, we will visit the Troy Museum, where you can see many artifacts discovered during excavations. After finishing our visit, we will drive to our hotel to stay and relax. Overnight at the Güzelyalı Iris 4* hotel or a similar accommodation.
After breakfast, we will drive towards Kuşadası. Our first stop is the Pergamon Acropolis. Perched high on a hill, this ancient citadel was once the heart of a powerful kingdom. Here, you will marvel at the impressive ruins that include the Trajan Temple, the steepest theater of the ancient world, and the magnificent Altar of Zeus. As we explore the Acropolis, you will be transported back in time to an era of grandeur and architectural brilliance. Next, we will visit the Red Basilica, also known as the Red Hall. Next, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a sacred site for both Christians and Muslims. According to tradition, this modest stone house is where Mary, the mother of Jesus, spent her final years. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Koressos, the serene and peaceful atmosphere of this site provides a perfect setting for reflection and prayer. Many believe that the spring water here has healing properties, and you will have the opportunity to visit the wishing wall where visitors leave their prayers and wishes. Our journey continues to the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although only a few columns and ruins remain today, this site was once a grand and magnificent structure dedicated to Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. The temple’s historical significance and the stories surrounding it make this a fascinating stop on our tour. Finally, we will visit the picturesque village of Åžirince. Lastly, we’ll visit a local cave house, where you can experience firsthand how people have lived in these unique dwellings for centuries. After breakfast, we will check out from our hotel and drive towards Bolu. Today, we’ll embark on a scenic drive towards the Seven Lakes National Park. As we hike through the lush forests and serene pathways, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature and capture unforgettable views. After our time in Seven Lakes National Park, we’ll continue our journey towards Istanbul, a city where East meets West in a mesmerizing blend of history, culture, and modernity. After breakfast, we will drive towards the Historical Square of Istanbul. We begin our exploration at the majestic Topkapı Palace, once the residence of Ottoman sultans and a true symbol of their power and opulence. Here, you’ll wander through exquisite courtyards, marvel at stunning architecture, and discover priceless treasures housed within its walls. Next, we’ll visit the iconic Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture that has transcended centuries and civilizations. Originally a cathedral, then a mosque, and now a museum, Hagia Sophia’s grand dome and intricate mosaics will leave you in awe of its historical significance and architectural brilliance. From Hagia Sophia, we move to the nearby Blue Mosque, officially known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. Admire its six towering minarets, expansive courtyard, and the breathtaking interior adorned with thousands of handmade ceramic tiles in shades of blue, which give it its famous nickname. Our journey then takes us to the ancient Hippodrome Square, where chariot races and political events once took place during the Byzantine era.
